How to Control Nutsedge

Manage turf herbicide is a post emergent herbicide that provides control of purple and yellow nutsedge.  This specialty product translocates through nutsedge to attached rhizomes, nutlets and tubers.  When directions are followed, this product is safe to spray over many listed turf grasses.  For optimum results do not mow grass areas to be treated two days before and two days after applying SedgeHammer or Manage and combine a non-ionic surfactant with the herbicide.

Visual effects:

  • 0 to 1 day after treatment the Nutsedge stops growing.
  • 7 to 10 days after treatment the Nutsedge begins to change color.
  • 21 to 30 days after treatment the Nutsedge will brown or begin to disappear

Manage herbicide is a selective, post-emergence herbicide used to control purple and yellow nutsedge in turf and non-turf settings.  Manage herbicide also suppresses green Kyllinga.  This herbicide can be applied to golf courses, residential and commercial turfs and other non crop sites including: sod and turf farms, sports fields, landscaped areas, school grounds, cemeteries, public recreation areas, airports, roadsides and similar sites.
